Owner of Carpistry, Robert has over sixty years of experience in all kinds of woodwork. There isn’t anything he cannot do, figure out, try, or find someone who can do it well. He loves his work and teaching and learning from others. He collaborates with his coworkers and his clients. He is an artist as well which is where he gets his design inspiration and his precise eye. A constant MacGyver and problem solver, he loves a challenge. Whether he is building a shelf for your kitchen, your kitchen, or your entire apartment, he wants you, the client, to feel that you have a hand in the creation of your dream.

Carter Benes, Designer

Carter, Robert’s son, brings a new perspective to the company. Refreshing the website, helping to find clientele, and building alongside his father, Carter is shaping up to absorb all his father’s knowledge. Having worked on and off for over ten years with his dad, he has begun to do his own side projects, primarily wood earrings and jewelry when he’s not helping out his father on installation and builds.
